I feel that collaborations are when energies of different modalities unite to elevate each other. When I collaborate with an artist or a client, I acknowledge their unique talents or vantage point and merge them with my own experience as a couturier to create an exclusive perspective. Carlos A. Nazario began his digital collage endeavor out of a time of uncertainty and despair. Nazario was going through a life changing medical diagnosis that challenged his very existence. From this uncertainty grew an inner strength unbeknownst to him that manifested in emotional and powerful collages. I strongly felt that his artwork needed an audience as the feelings he was dealing with (or use experiencing) with are universal.
